As reported earlier this week Visa has been warning banks of a new data breach at a yet unnamed data processor. Today Visa tells ComputerWorld the new breach isn't a new discovery and "is related to the ongoing investigation of a previously known breach."
Visa still didn't disclose the identity of the breached company, nor did they disclose why they aren't releasing that information. In fact Visa has yet to disclose much information regarding the breach at all. Only stating that they have sent lists of credit and debit card numbers to financial institutions "so they can take steps to protect consumers."
