Today is iPad Day, Did You Run Out And Buy Yours?

Unless you've been living in a cave in Afghanistan or under a rock in Antarctica by now you should know that Apple's new iPad has officially made its debut today. Geeks everywhere are most likely sprinting out to get their first hands on experience with the new device as I type this.

For me personally I don't plan on buying the first generation incarnation of the iPad. I have several reasons for my thinking but the major one has been the inability to actually touch and feel the iPad. I'll be working all day today so I don't have plans on rushing down just to try it out. I do plan to check it out at my BestBuy when I have the chance, but I doubt I'll be a buyer.

For those of you that are planning on jumping on the iPad ship Apple is selling the Wi-Fi only versions of the iPad. Honestly its the one I'd suggest, stay away from the more expensive 3g models. The Wi-Fi models start at $499 and up to $699 with 64GB of storage.
