Apparently the third time isn't the charm for Apple has three times now Apple has delayed shipments of the companies white iPhone 4 leaving many left to wonder exactly what the issue is and if the device will ever be shipped.
Rumors and speculation point to issues with the white glass planned to be used for the delayed iPhone 4 model. The glass apparently allows in too much light, resulting in poorer quality digital pictures. Yet more rumors speculate that Apple is trying to fix the 'antennagate' issues and then new 'glassgate' issues which are resulting in an increased case of screen glass breakage.
One thing is for certain all these delays and added rumors are leaving many user wandering if Apple is ever going to release the White iPhone 4 or if they will just have to wait for the next iPhone to get out of the black. The latest rumor out of BGR suggests the white iPhone 4 has been canceled. The rumor implies that Apple is pulling the wool over everyone’s eyes with these repeated delays and has no plans to release the coveted device.
The standard black iPhone 4, was released in June, but the white model was delayed first to July, then to the end of the year and now it appears as though it won't make it to market until early next year. In the mean time BGR is speculating that an iPhone 5 release date should be expected around June/July.
So far Apple has been pretty silent about the issue. "We're sorry to disappoint customers waiting for the white iPhone again," Apple spokeswoman Trudy Muller told Reuters. She declined to explain the delay or offer any further information. The company has only said the white model was "more challenging to manufacture than we originally expected."
