The site itself is not totally live yet with the launch being planned just in time for the summer concert season however you can visit GrouponLive now and sign up with your e-mail address to receive limited-time deal notifications in the future.
"GrouponLive represents a new channel to drive value for fans, while helping artists and others to reach ever larger audiences," said Michael Rapino, President and Chief Executive Officer of Live Nation Entertainment. "By adding this channel to our ticketing platform, we will also provide our venue partners with another option for driving ticket sales across a wide range of events. Our success is based on selling tickets and filling seats and GrouponLive gives us another platform to achieve this."The pairing of the two sites should be an interesting one. Live Nation currently operates the world's most popular ticketing service, Ticketmaster. It also runs Live Nation Concerts, which puts on over 20,000 shows from 2,000 artists around the world. Groupon of course, is one of the more popular deal-a-day providers featuring instant access to local deals. Personally I can't wait to see what kind of discounts we see on local events.
