A year ago today the tech world lost one of its own when Apple co-founder Steve Jobs passed away. Today Apple dedicated the front page if its website with a video montage and a letter from CEO Tim Cook which features a few words in remembrance of Jobs.
"Steve's passing one year ago today was a sad and difficult time for all of us," said Cook in the letter. "I hope that today everyone will reflect on his extraordinary life and the many ways he made the world a better place."
short video clip features a slideshow of Jobs photos, from the early days of Apple in the 70s to more recent shots of the iconic CEO at his company's much-hyped press events. As the photos flash by, Jobs can be heard in a voice-over discussing some of his favorite philosophies and introducing some of Apple's most popular products.
